Pigment Ink on paper.
A piece that took me quite a while and as per usual with my traditional works I only fiddled a little bit with brightness and contrast to get right what the scanner got wrong. Other than that... no digital post-processing. I used pigment ink, so every line you see is the first and last line on that piece of paper. I cannot erase anything and when I work on a picture like this, there is almost no sketching beforehand. This has two reasons: One - it is much more thrilling to see the picture grow organically. A sketched line makes me follow instructions, a blank piece of paper invites me to work in little odds and ends. Two - you may be unable to erase any line, but the pigment ink tends to lose a little bit of saturation if I use an eraser to get rid of sketch lines - especially if the drawn lines are thin.
I really would like to explain all the thoughts and hidden things that went into this picture but that would spoil the fun
This picture (the original traditional piece) was part of the Charity Auction at Galacon 2014 in Ludwigsburg. Every cent raised was donated to Bronies for Good.
